The Center coordinates a corps of trained community volunteers who provide mediation for interpersonal conflicts and group conflicts in an impartial, safe, skilled, and respectful manner. We work with individuals, neighbors, families, businesses, government, boards, caregivers and others to transform destructive conflict into effective solutions. Mediation helps participants fully express themselves and know they are heard, better understand others' perspectives, and, develop unique solutions to improving their situation.   For those not seeking to find solutions/agreement but wanting to make sure their concerns are understood, we offer Listening Circles.  Whether in person or online, the mediation process typically includes separate intake sessions for each party, followed by a joint session. 

The Center provides training in interpersonal & large-group nonviolent and cooperative conflict resolution, conflict de-escalation and communication skills, mediation training, and training on developing and facilitating community dialogue forums. All of these trainings center around learning how to allow many voices to be heard and understood. Prices are variable depending on size, scope and duration. Classes can be held in person and remotely.

The Center coordinates a corps of trained local volunteer facilitators in the art of dialogue circles. Dialogue circles enable participants to collaborate effectively through the experience of cooperative group decision-making and assists participants in making critical decisions transparently and inclusively and in collaboration with community partners. Dialogue circles are a vital tool to facilitate group discussions of challenging topics so that all voices are heard and understood. We have facilitated discussions on a range of current, relevant and controversial topics.
